Bruinbear Labradors of Santa Barbara is owned and operated by Candy Templeton. Her first chocolate lab, Leland, was "the pick of the litter" and the breeder told her that she should try showing and breeding Leland. Candy kept Bruin, a chocolate lab from Leland's first litter, and was hooked on Chocolates from that day forward.

Simply put, Candy likes the look of chocolate Labradors. They are English style labs with big bones and chests. They also have a wonderful temperament. Bruinbear Labradors are smart, good natured, lovable and easy to please. They are great family dogs and are wonderful with children.

All bruinbear chocolate Labradors are raised at Candy Templeton's home in Goleta, Ca. The dogs are not kept in kennels, but are part of the family from the moment they are born. Because of this, the puppies are well socialized with dogs and people when they are adopted.
